I wanted to share a little about my experience at CART because it’s honestly been one of the best parts of my high school years. CART isn’t like a normal class — you actually get to work on real projects and learn things you can use in the real world.
One of my favorite parts was our food truck project. We got to design our own concept from scratch, build the menu, and even hand out samples to people. It felt like running a real business, and it taught me a lot about teamwork, planning, and talking to customers.
We also went on some really cool field trips, like the Cherry Auction and the Jelly Belly Factory. Seeing how different businesses operate behind the scenes made everything we learned in class feel more real. Plus, it was just fun to get out, explore, and experience things hands-on.
Overall, CART helped me grow a lot — not just with skills, but with confidence too. You get treated more like a young professional than a student, and that pushes you to step up. If you’re thinking about joining CART or just starting out, my advice is to take advantage of everything. Try new things, ask questions, and enjoy the experience.
