Medical Mysteries
Have you ever wondered how your heart pumps, eyes see, or lungs breathe? Join us in a journey of discovery as we explore the inner workings of the human body. This hands-on, laboratory based experience will give your child an opportunity to: dissect an eyeball, study bacteria, hold a brain, tour an ambulance, learn CPR and many more activities that explore the wonders of the human body.

 

CSI Detective Science
Students will be engaged in hands on investigation of fingerprint, shoe print, and handwriting patterns. They will test simulated blood to determine type. They will examine teeth marks, hair, fibers, real vs. counterfeit money and more! All of these hands on activities will provide students with a taste of forensic science.

 

Video Game Design
Students will learn how to use game development software and tools to design and build a two-dimensional computer game. They will learn the basics of game programming, graphics, animation and sound. They will also learn and study about the history, genres, and development of video games. Software: Game Maker, Adobe Photoshop

 

Movie Magic
We all love going to the movies; we get to dream of new worlds, imagine ourselves as the hero, and yes, even learn! Give your children a chance to be a part of the magic of movies. Students will engage in the art of movie making including directing, acting, editing and promotion. At the end of the week, students will even get a DVD with their movie to take home!
