Depending on the lab, students explore and apply a spectrum of communication skills including satellite communications, wireless technology, network and Internet design, database fundamentals, electronic graphic design, web broadcasting, and web design.
Students can choose one of the following learning labs in the Advanced Communications Career Cluster.

| Interactive Game Design Lab |
Students learn about the history of video games and the oportunities in the industry. They will study the game development and design process and use software to create 2D and 3D game prototypes.
Careers include: 2D / 3D Artist, Game Designer, Animator, Game Programmer

| Multimedia Learning Lab |
Students learn how to use various media such as movies, music, lighting, television, print, graphics, and web pages, in education, entertainment, advertising and publicity. Students will receive instruction in the use of the Adobe suite of software products.
Careers include: Art designer, art producer, Presentation designer, Video producer, Web master, Visual effects production, Multimedia Producer.

| Network Management Learning Lab |
Provides a basic foundation in networking. Successful students are eligible to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam. Content includes network topology, router and LAN switching theory plus design, and network troubleshooting.

The fundamentals of modern computer programming languages are taught through the Oracle Internet Academy, covering the topics of database design, SQL and Java programming, industry certification preparation, public presentation skills, and interview/job preparation skills.
