Science and technology come to life at the CART Summer Academy

My CART Experience By Mikayla Dahlberg
I never thought I’d get the experience to learn and actually be in a class that I absolutely love, but I have thanks to CART. A year ago, I was apprehensive about attending CART, but after getting involved in projects it didn’t take long before I was comfortable. CART isn’t like my home school; the teachers treat me like an adult, and everything is business oriented in my Economics and Finance lab. This feels more relevant, more real.

Fresno County Sheriff's Foundation site
This is Jose Partida ( web designer and CART Networking Lab student). This week at CART he unveiled the new Fresno County Sheriff's Foundation site. The web site launch was covered by CBS 47, FOX 26, and UniVision 21. Congratulations Jose and Team!!

    The Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART) is the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art education reform effort at the secondary level to date. The CART combines rigorous academics with technical, design, process, entrepreneurial, and critical thinking skills.

    The 75,000 square foot CART facility, designed as a high performance business atmosphere, is organized around four career clusters. They are Professional Sciences,Engineering, Advanced Communications, and Global Economics. Within each cluster are several career-specific laboratories in which students complete industry-based projects and receive academic credit for advanced English, science, math, and technology.
